Rooted in an unfolding, real-life event in collaboration with the artist known as K49814, the film transcends documentation. Provoking deeply relevant questions about the meaning and purpose of life in a time when all sentient beings face existential threat, Kossakovsky weaves balletic action and a deceptively simple story into an edge-of-your seat experience, gradually situating viewers within a dynamic process of discovery, provoking a sensual contemplation of our interbeing, and deftly revealing the pathos and joy that arises when defiantly putting a shoulder to the wheel of life.

*A king in Greek mythology, Sisyphus tried to rescue the living from Death, and was himself condemned to eternally roll a boulder uphill only to have it roll back down.

“Trillion" came to me as a moment of serendipity, a wonderful surprise that ultimately changed my worldview.
